Skills for Life Lecturer
Role Responsibility
Motivated tutors are needed to deliver innovative and exciting programmes in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, Kent. You will be teaching adult learners Functional Skills English and Functional Skills maths. We also require ESOL tutors who have the skills and knowledge needed to enable learners to achieve accreditation.
Essential to the ESOL role is proven experience in teaching ESOL to adult learners.
Please note this a part-time position with an immediate start ideally.
You will need a flexible approach and a commitment to professional development. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
You will have or will be working towards a generic teaching qualification (e.g. DET, Cert ED, BED, PGCE). You must have or be working towards a Level 4/5 subject specialism (ESOL).

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
