We're on the lookout for an exceptional Area Education Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the way in delivering engaging learning experiences.

Our Vision

Kent Training and Apprenticeships (KT&A) supports young people in Kent to achieve in education and to be able to go forward to contribute positively to their communities now and in the future. We are a diverse and rapidly developing organisation working across the whole county supporting young people from the ages of 16 – 18 years (up to 25 with an EHCP).

Your Opportunity

As an Area Education Manager you'll have the opportunity to:

- lead and inspire a team of dedicated tutors and support staff in guiding them towards achieving exceptional educational outcomes. Your vision and expertise will be the driving force behind our educational initiatives.

- be part of a team who support our NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) young people to achieve great things.

- be part of a team where you can work creatively to help our young people overcome barriers to make good educational and career progression

- bring new ideas to help the team to support our young people to thrive

- contribute to a multi-agency partnership working in the best interests of young people

- lead a supportive team in helping young people achieve their aspirations in life.

- step in and deliver effective teaching and develop lessons for young people when required with an aim of progressing positively and achieving intended outcomes.

What we are looking for ?

A person who is:-

- able to lead the development and refinement of curriculum content, ensuring alignment with industry trends and educational standards.

- motivated, supportive and has inclusion at the heart of what they do.

- empathetic in their approach

- able to engage with stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and student success

- experienced in supporting young people in Post 16 educational settings - and can bring their knowledge/approaches to working to KT&A

- able to work independently and as part of a team

- understanding about safety being paramount for young people

- analyse data to make informed decisions on curriculum improvements

As part of a hybrid working environment, a significant part of the working week could be spent in different settings across the area, as well as home based, therefore this role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
