Skills for Life Lecturer ESOL

Role Responsibility

A motivated tutor is needed to deliver innovative and exciting programmes in our Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Adult Education Centres. You will be teaching adult learners ESOL and have the skills and knowledge needed to enable learners to achieve accreditation at all levels; from pre-entry to Level 2. 

Essential to this role is proven experience and success in teaching ESOL to adult learners.

You will need a flexible approach and a commitment to professional development. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

You will have or will be working towards a generic teaching qualification (e.g. DET, Cert ED, BED, PGCE). You must have or be working towards a Level 4/5 subject specialism (ESOL).

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
