Role Responsibility
Purpose is to provide innovative and effective, negotiated learning experiences which enable learners to meet their goals within an inclusive environment that supports all individuals.
To carry out initial and diagnostic assessment to inform high quality, innovative delivery, which challenges and inspires learners and includes clear objectives, involving learners in the planning, review and evaluation process.
To deliver effective and high quality negotiated English/ESOL provision across a range of ability groups (Entry 1 - Level 2) to meet all relevant academic and funding criteria and which enables learners to meet their personal learning goals.
To continuously monitor course effectiveness and assess learner development through individual learning plans to inform teaching strategies which ensure learner and programme success.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
