Catering Assistant
Role Responsibility
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Kent County Council, Country Parks team who provide leisure, educational, events, venue hire and café services across 9 Country Parks in Kent.
Country Parks are looking for Catering Assistants to work at their country park cafes at Lullingstone Country Park
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in customer service and catering
There are 3 contract types on offer and they are Fixed term for
Saturday and Sundays 11 - 3 April until October
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11 - 2 from April until July with the possibility to extend into August
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10 - 2 from June to July with the possibility to extend into August
You will be expected to hold Level 1 or 2 Food Safety certificate.
The individual needs to be organised with strong customer service skills to ensure that visitors to the parks receive a quality café experience.
You will report to the Catering Services Manager who is responsible for the four Country Park café sites.
A job share will be considered for some of these contracts. When applying please be clear on the park, the contract that you are applying for and the days that you wish to work.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
