Role Responsibility

Do you want to make a real meaningful positive difference to peoples lives? Are you proactive, with the ability to work on your own and with colleagues? Can you network with customers and community groups to identify opportunities to develop an exciting new project combatting lonliness through library services in Thanet?

We are looking for someone to work across our Thanet District Libraries and their communities to define, develop, deliver and evaluate the Thanet Know your Neighbourhood project. Thanet has been identified as having  high levels of loneliness and isolation. A focus of the Thanet Know Your Neighbourhood (KYN) project will be to understand and identify people in Thanet who are vulnerable to loneliness and how we can find ways for them to benefit either through volunteering, existing activities or design and pilot new ones.

You will be part of a local team who work to put the customer at the heart of everything we do and will take a lead role to motivate staff to deliver a quality service and develop skills.

This is a fabulous opportunity to shape a project that can make a real difference locally while also contributing to a national initiative and learning.
