Role Responsibility

We are seeking applications for a Warehouse Person/Driver within the Kent Libraries, Registration and Archives (LRA) Stock & Promotions Team.

As part of this hybrid role the successful applicant will mainly be sorting incoming stock and post for distribution, maintaining warehouse health and safety standards, and supporting the Stock & Promotions Team with manual handling.

The successful applicant will provide sickness and holiday cover within our small transport team, delivering books and other materials to LRA premises, residential homes, and prisons across the county. Previous experience of driving an LWB transit sized van is required.

This role is subject to holding a full UK Driving Licence.

Due to the nature of this role a reasonable level of fitness is required. 

This is a permanent full-time position of 37 hours per week, based at our central distribution point in Aylesford.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
