Technical Support Officer - Highways Enforcement

Role Responsibility

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated individual to play a key role within the Highways and Transportation Operational Team.  As a support officer you will provide the necessary administrative support to the Enforcement Team and other teams across Kent in the delivery of all aspects of highway related work. This includes liaising and working closely with other KCC Highway teams, administrative tasks including preparing and service official Notices under the Highways Act, raising invoice requests and keeping track of payments received.  You will be key in delivering an exceptional customer service through the provision of high-quality communication skills. 

The role will be based in East Kent. However, you will be required to assist and support the team of TSOs across the county and may be required to travel to other offices/depots. 

The right candidate will have a passion to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.  You will be a proven team player with the ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of highway teams and have good computer literacy skills.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
