Sports Coordinator (Programmes)

Role Responsibility

The Kent County Council Sport and Physical Activity Service ("Kent Sport Active Partnership") vision is to ‘change lives through sport and physical activity’, and it works with a wide range of partners to help achieve this.

Kent Sport is seeking to appoint a Sports Co-ordinator to support the effective co-ordination and delivery of its programmes, with a specific focus on supporting Children and Young People projects. The role includes administering Sport England National Lottery funding awards for local partners, evaluating the use of Primary School PE and Sport Premium, and co-ordinate schools taking part in the national Active Lives Survey.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills and who has an interest in sport and physical activity. Please note this role does not involve any coaching.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
