Senior Transport & Development Planner
Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen in the East Kent Transport & Development team as a Senior Transport and Development Planner. Kent is an exciting and rewarding place to work. We are one of the biggest county councils, serving a population of over a million people, with key high-speed rail and strategic road links at the gateway to Europe.
Over the next fifteen years in excess of 100,000 homes are planned and our team is at the forefront of guiding the way in which new developments can come forward to deliver jobs and housing as part of our sustainable growth ambition for Kent.
Our team base is Ashford Highway Depot and you will be supported to work flexibly including from home. Your main responsibilities will include assessing and advising on the transport aspects of planning applications, securing funding for and coordinating the delivery of development related highway schemes and contributing to the local planning process and being an active support to the Principal Planners.
This is an exciting role for a motivated transport and development planner looking to broaden your experience with major development sites as part of a supportive team. You will cover one or possibly two East Kent Districts.
