RSCS Administration Officer

Role Responsibility

Here at the Reception and Safe Care Service  for KCC Integrated Children’s Services, we receive and respond to all requests for support at an intensive level or above, ensuring that these are passed on to the most appropriate service for ongoing support and intervention.

We are currently looking for a full time, permanent Administration Officer to join our busy and fast-paced team.

To provide an administrative support service to managers and qualified Social Work staff to assist in the smooth running of the Reception and Safe Care Service’s social work teams, taking an proactive role in relation to their day to day functioning. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent IT and problem-solving skills and is confident in dealing with professionals and members of the public on the telephone.  You will be required to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information. This is a challenging, varied and exciting role that requires multi-tasking and a good eye for detail whilst working under pressure in a fast-paced office environment.

  • A starting salary of £20,595 with performance related pay increases
  • Option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with KCC contributions totalling 21.3%
  • 26 days paid annual leave per year (rising to 28 after 5 years' service) + bank holidays + a concessionary day
  • Flexible working – currently two days working in our office at Kroner House and three days at home (subject to change) and we’ll provide you with the kit needed to work remotely
