Administration Officer
Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Administration Officer to work in our Disabled Children’s Team in Margate. As part of a small team you will play an integral role in supporting the work of our Social Workers and Social Work Assistants. We are looking for someone to work three days per week including Mondays and Wednesdays with the third day being negotiable.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Supporting the day to day administrative function of the team
Taking minutes to a high standard
Processing invoices and other financial transactions using our in house systems
Maintaining client information in an accurate and timely manner in line with GDPR
We are looking for someone with:
Proven experience of working in an administrative role
Strong organisation and communication skills
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A willingness to learn and commitment to the values of Kent County Council
The work is interesting and can be demanding. You will need to be calm, organised and flexible to meet the changing demands of the service.
We are currently operating a hybrid working arrangement so there will be the opportunity for a mix of office and home working after an initial period of training.
This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
