NQT Induction Administration Assistant - The Education People

Role Responsibility

The Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Induction team supports schools and their NQTs through the first year of teaching.  We oversee the whole process, from registration to the completion of assessments by the school.  An important part of the Induction Team’s role is to support schools where the NQT is finding induction difficult.  In these cases we work closely with the school based tutor and NQT to achieve the best outcome for all.

The Induction Administration Assistant is a maternity cover post which provides excellent administrative support to this busy service. We are therefore looking for a motivated and highly organised person to join us on a temporary full-time basis until 29th March 2022.

The work is very varied and will involve the post holder being the main initial point of contact for the team, answering the phone and investigating the nature of the query.  There will also be much database work to ensure the information on the NQT Manager database is accurate.  The post holder will also assist in organising meetings and preparing paperwork prior to and after these meetings. The role would suit someone who has an excellent telephone manner, experience in dealing with queries from customers and in working with databases.  The ideal candidate will be proactive, with the ability to recognise where improvements can be made to the induction service.
