Location Aylesford, Kent

Hours Full Time (37 hours per week Monday to Friday)

Contract Type Permanent

Salary KSE 

Salary Range from £29,167 per annum | Permanent Full Time, 37 hours per week

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated and enthusiastic individual to play a key role within the Highways Operational Team. As a PA you will provide the necessary administrative support to the Heads of Service and their teams across Kent in the delivery of all aspects of highway related work. 

This is a full-time role based at Aylesford Depot, Kent with hybrid working arrangements in place.  However, you will be required to assist and support to the Heads of Service across the county and may be required to travel to other offices/depots. 

This is a wide‑ranging and fast‑paced role. A typical day may include:

  • Providing a comprehensive Personal Assistant service
  • Managing and organising complex diary appointments
  • Assisting with preparation for meetings
  • Managing and monitoring Outlook diaries and emails
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carrying out other administrative duties as required

Applicants who have worked in a similar role or a senior business support role, have an understanding of local government and the role of a county council, and have experience liaising with Members, senior officers, and external agencies are encouraged to apply.

Selection Process

The interview process will consist of two stages:

  • Stage One: Panel interview (candidates may be required to complete an administrative task)
  • Stage Two: Meet and greet

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
