Disposal & Investment Strategy Manager

Role Responsibility

Kent County Council is one of the largest counties in the country with a diverse portfolio in excess of 600 properties, providing services for around 1.5 million residents.

KCC has an exciting senior management opportunity for a Disposal & Investment Strategy Manager to optimise our property assets to contribute towards the delivery of the Strategic Delivery Plan. Reporting to the Head of Property Strategy, the role holder will lead the disposal pipeline and delivery of KCC’s Asset Disposal Programme to fund a financially demanding capital programme and to oversee the Investment Fund. You will lead a Team and need to be commercially minded and creative to optimise values at pace, whilst balancing the needs of key stakeholders. The Property Strategy Team work closely with Property Operations colleagues within the wider Infrastructure Directorate.

Experience and a proven track record in leading disposals through sales, partnerships and JV’s and procuring investment and development opportunities across a varied / complex portfolio in either the public or private sector will be required, together with a tenacious and organised approach in undertaking due diligence and preparing business cases for approval, backed with strong negotiation and transactional skills.

In addition, the job holder will need to quickly establish good working relationships with other  groups within the Infrastructure Directorate and with key internal and external stakeholders.

As part of the interview process for this role you will be required to complete additional testing. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a psychometric assessment as part of the recruitment process.
