Technical Services Lead
Role Responsibility
Kent County Council (KCC) is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Area Technical Services Lead to join our Hard FM Team within the Deputy Chief Executive Department. If you have a strong background in building services, technical knowledge, and a passion for managing complex projects, this is the perfect role for you! Lead a team that ensures the compliance, functionality, safety, sustainability, and efficiency of our buildings and infrastructure.
This role requires you to direct, manage, and provide expert advice on all aspects of building services on behalf of KCC Infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, meeting all statutory requirements. Your expertise will ensure that Corporate Infrastructure standards, policies, and legislative requirements are upheld in all planned maintenance and reactive activities, including those managed by the Hard FM Contractor and other suppliers.
As an Area Technical Services Lead, you will provide technical support throughout the entire project lifecycle. From scoping and specifications to procurement and tender review, you will oversee work plans, technical reporting, management data, and the verification of completed work and invoices. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and end users to resolve technical issues and promote best practices in building services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record in Building Services and Maintenance Supply Chain Management.
- Extensive experience in managing technical services or building services.
- Relevant industry Health and Safety qualification, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
