An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Kent AMHP Service for an Administration Officer – 6 month contract - 15 hours a week.

The Kent AMHP Service is a busy team that provide Mental Health Act assessments across Kent; this involves working closely with our NHS partners to provide a 24 hour a day 365 days per year service.  We believe it is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate as this is a complex and ever evolving service and you will need to be able to prioritise your workload and support others in the team where appropriate.

We are looking for someone who thrives on being active, dealing with competing priorities whilst with your excellent organisational skills, will ensure you know the status of your work at any given time.

This post is critical to ensure the smooth running of admin support for the Service and you will also be providing assistance to the Senior Admin Officer as required.

We are looking for someone who can think on their feet and find solutions to problems that may arise.  You will need good IT skills and a great attention to detail along with the ability to meet tight deadlines.  You will be working with a variety of databases and computer systems which full training will be given.  You will also need knowledge of confidentiality and data protection procedures. 

Minute taking experience for meetings is an essential part of this role as is having excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with staff and Managers at all levels.

You will be given regular supervision, support, and training to develop yourself within the role. The post holder will need to be flexible and innovative, bringing a range of skills and experience to help support the AMHP service and the fluidity of the organisation.

We are offering a hybrid model of working which is both a mix of home working as well as utilising space in the KCC offices.  Currently, the role will require you working every Thursday but there is flexibility on the other working day. You must be able to work from the office in Maidstone as required and our normal business hours are Monday to Friday between 8.00am until 5.00pm

The successful candidate must be able to travel on occasions, as meetings are held at different sites across the County.
