Administration Officer

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an Administration Officer for the Adult Social Care Team. We have two posts available as follows -

1 x full time position - 37 hours per week 

1 x part time position - 30 hours per week

You will be situated at one of the following locations, to be discussed at interview: St Peters House in Broadstairs, Thistley Hill in Dover or Cheriton House, Folkestone.

You will provide administrative support to the Adult Social Care Team and assist in the smooth running of their service. 

We are looking for someone who has excellent literacy, numeracy and computer skills along and who can use a range of IT systems to ensure a high level of data quality.  You will also need good organisational and administrative skills to be able to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team as well as professionally communicating with our clients, their representatives and other professionals by phone and e-mail.

 Kent County Council is moving towards providing a service between 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week. 

 This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

 This post is subject to an Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
