Volunteer Trainee Education and Conservation Ranger
Role Responsibility
Kent country Parks and Medway Valley Countryside Partnerships are seeking a Volunteer Trainee to support the existing teams to provide outstanding outdoor education and a keen interest in conservation.
This role is voluntary for six months and could suit applicants looking for a change in career, and seeking suitable work experience for paid employment within the sector.
This rewarding post includes qualifications in Forest School Level 1, Outdoor First Aid and Brushcutting. All equipment, uniform and mileage costs will be included.
This volunteer trainee program is ideally suited for candidates wishing to consider a new career in outdoor education and/or conservation.
As a volunteer Education and Conservation Trainee you will work alongside the Education Rangers to gain an excellent understanding of outdoor education and undertake Forest School Level 1 training and outdoor first aid. You will be involved with the creation, planning and execution of school visits, managing forest school sites and assisting with team building and events.
Working alongside the Partnership Officers you will be undertaking habitat management techniques, species identification, safe use of hand tools and brushcutters, site management planning and construction skills.
Full training, equipment and uniform will be provided. Mileage for travel will also be included.
