Transport Modelling Officer

Role Responsibility

The KCC Traffic Management Team are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to demonstrate their experience in data management and system development.

The role will act as a subject matter expert, for Traffic related data and system(s) including the development and day to day management of Network Management Data system associated with Countywide Strategic Model.

The role will oversee system maintenance and access  in line with council policies and produce reports/outputs from the system(s) to support the Traffic Management Team as well as other highway teams.

The role will also require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders such as highway teams, consultants, Districts & Boroughs,  system developers and also management of approval of third-party customer access to data, including any fees to be paid.

This full-time role will be able to utilise hybrid working with a mix of working from the office and from home. The office base will be Kroner House in Ashford or Aylesford Highway Depot, which can be agreed with the successful candidate.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
