Trainer - Kent Enablement at Home

Role Responsibility

We have an exciting new opportunity within the Kent Enablement at Home (KEAH) team  

We are looking to recruit a trainer at KR8 Kent Scheme pay scale (£26,205 up to £29,885), within our KEAH team to create and deliver in house training programmes and resources for all staff ensuring that they are in line with Kent County Council policies and Care Quality Commission registration.   

We are recalibrating our approach to drive forward innovative, meaningful, and positive practice in Kent.  

Kent Enablement at Home is responsible for delivering short term enablement services in the community, supporting the people using the service to maximise their independence and reduce their long-term care needs. 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has: 

  • Ability to deliver various training using multiple techniques to meet all learner needs  

  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure  

  • Brilliant interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the fast-changing business needs  

  • Ability to travel across a wide geographical area as required 

  • Knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems  

  • Knowledge and understanding of legislations and policies in relation to Adult Social Care and Care Quality Commission

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
