Trading Standards Officer – Complex Investigations
Part time – 3 days per week (22.2 hours per week)
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced, motivated, dynamic and qualified (DTS, DCA, DCATS or TSPD) Officer to join this high-profile team.
About the role
The Kent County Council, Trading Standards Complex Investigations Team conduct large scale criminal investigations into persistent and/or serious criminal activities in particular fraud, counterfeiting, scams and doorstep crime.
The role will involve all aspects of criminal investigations including the gathering of evidence of offending/defence, interviewing suspects, drafting witness statements, preparing reports and schedules of evidence for formal action. You will be part of a dynamic and highly motivated team which includes Trading Standards Officers, Accredited Financial Investigators and a Victim Safeguarding officer.
Although you would be imbedded in the investigations team there will be plenty of opportunities to work across the Service in areas such as Intelligence led disruption activity, early interventions and consumer education initiatives.
Our office is based in Ashford with capability for you to work from home where appropriate. You will be expected to work across Kent and sometimes further afield.
