Technology Enhanced Lives Officer
Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen for a new role of Technology Enhanced Lives Officer to support the Adult Social Care Technology Enhanced Lives Service.
This exciting post provides an excellent opportunity to be part of the implementation and embedding of a new Adult Social Care service which will provide people with access to innovative technologies to meet their care and support needs.
The purpose of the role will be to work collaboratively with partners to implement and embed the Technology Enhanced Lives Service across Kent, driving referrals to the service and working closely with our provider partner to drive continuous improvement.
The main aims of the role are:
- Identify and recommend innovations in using technology to support people to live their lives independently – including supporting staff with thinking differently about technology and taking a person-centred and strengths-based approach
- Work with Technology Coordinators, Adult Social Care Managers and the Technology Enhanced Lives provider partner to evaluate and explore innovative and new ideas
- Promote digital inclusion activities within the Council to support Kent residents to access and enjoy the benefits of Technology Enhanced Lives
This role will be line managed by the Technology Enhanced Lives Coordinator within the Adult Social Care Innovation and Partnership Team and will work very closely with our provider partner Argenti.
The role will be hybrid with the opportunity to work from home and travel to meet with Locality Teams in various KCC offices and people we support in the community.
This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
We intend to recruit one Technology Enhanced Lives Officers, of whom will predominantly work across East Kent. Flexible travel will be required across the county in this role.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
