Support Worker - Meadowside

Role Responsibility

Meadowside in Deal offers overnight residential stays for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or autism.

We are looking for some part-time Support Workers to join our team. Your role will be to create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes the emotional and physical well-being of our residents. Flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to improving outcomes for people are essential qualities for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure smooth shift operations.
  • Provide stimulating and meaningful learning experiences and activities.
  • Supervise and respond to each resident, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Offer stimulation and reassurance to make each visit enjoyable.

Shift Pattern:

  • Includes evenings, alternate weekends, and some bank holidays.
  • May require night cover support, although a dedicated night team is in place.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to achieve this within two years of employment.
  • Complete the Care Certificate if not already held.

Expectations:

  • Take personal and professional responsibility for your actions and performance.
  • Engage in an ongoing programme of specialist training and regular supervision to support career progression.
