Social and Digital Media Officer
Role Responsibility
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our small communications team to develop and deliver social and digital media content for KCC Public Protection services. You will work closely with the Communications Manager to drive forward our social media strategy, grow our channels, increase engagement and publish timely and effective content.
In this varied role, you will use your creative nature and keen eye for detail to produce impeccable copy, create graphics, and shoot and edit video content for various social media formats. You will have at least one year's hands-on experience in a similar digital communications role.
This is currently a hybrid office/home working post that has its base in Maidstone. The post holder may be required to travel to different locations in Kent to attend meetings or to capture content such as photos, audio and video of services in action.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council, therefore, has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
