Ashford Children in Care Teams - based at Westchurch, Ashford TN23 7XJ
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced Children in Care Service for a twelve month fixed term full time contract.
You will be flexible, creative, and able to travel long distances at short notice. Your role will be supporting the social workers in the Children in Care Team and your duties will include undertaking direct work with children, helping children move placements, covering family time and planned interventions with parents and carers. You will be able to respond to change quickly, able to create positive working relationships with children, young people, parents, carers, and professionals. You will have a "can do" approach and be able to work as part of a team. You will receive excellent supervision and a range of developmental opportunities.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
