Senior Technical Support Officer

Role Responsibility

The Technical and Business Operations Team, as part of Countywide Services, supports Adult Social Care and Health Directorate’s ‘front door’ service, the Technician’s service and partner agencies by providing fast track access to core equipment, adaptations, bathing  assessments, and in the protection of clients’ property. The critical purpose is to help service users to remain living in their own homes either by supporting service users directly or in supporting other assessors. The team also provides a high-level, professional business support function, including advice and guidance to managers across adult social care.  

We are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Support Officer, for one year fixed term position, working within the Technical and Business Operations team based at Invicta House, County Hall, Maidstone who are currently hybrid working. This is an exciting role for a confident, proactive and positive individual, working closely across all parts of adult social care.

The role will involve a range of activities in technical support to adult social care, and in general business administration, and requires excellent administration, organisational and communication skills. You will be able to deal with issues of a confidential and sensitive nature appropriately. You will be confident in communicating regularly with staff, managers, care professionals, and care agencies. You will need the ability to travel across the county to support the Protection of Property function.

You will have excellent ICT skills as tasks include inputting, updating, modifying and retrieving data on systems and producing reports. The ability to problem solve is essential too.

You will be confident, flexible, able to work well within a busy team and prioritise your workload.

Full induction and training will be given. The interview will be held at either Invicta House, Maidstone or Kroner House, Ashford or on Microsoft teams if required.
