Provider Compliance Officer

We are looking for a professional, organised and analytical colleague to join the Adults Commissioning and Partnerships Team as a Provider Compliance Officer.
This is an opportunity to help Kent County Council strengthen provider invoice compliance, secure value for money and continuously improve the way provider invoicing and payments are managed, through detailed audits and improved relationships and partnership working.
About the role
Working closely with the Senior Commissioning Manager, the Counter Fraud team and colleagues across KCC, you will support and deliver audits of provider invoicing compliance in line with the approved audit plan. You will undertake fieldwork, analyse evidence and sensitive information, contribute to audit clearance meetings and prepare clear first-draft audit reports for review.
- Support and deliver provider invoicing compliance audits to agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Analyse financial and operational data, including sensitive and confidential information.
- Work constructively with providers, KCC colleagues, managers and other stakeholders.
- Help align operational and commercial processes to improve outcomes, efficiency and value for money
- Respond positively to feedback and look to continuously improve the way we do things.
About you
You will be confident managing competing priorities and fixed deadlines while maintaining high standards. You will be able to interpret and follow guidance, analyse data and draw sound conclusions, and communicate clearly in writing and in person.
You will bring tact, sensitivity and a respectful approach when handling challenge or disagreement. Adaptability, sound judgement, confidentiality and a clear commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity are essential.
