Senior Purchasing Officer
Role Responsibility
This is a permanent position, working within the Community Care Purchasing Team. It is an exciting role for a confident, proactive and positive individual, working within Adult Social Care. Team are currently working from home with the availability to work in an office if desired.
This would be an ideal position for a candidate with a solid background in technical support with a strong understanding of IT and Microsoft systems looking to develop or build upon their skills while working within the social care sector for the local authority. The role requires an advanced understanding and experience using IT systems.
The role will involve a wide range of technical support work including project support, process building, reporting and analytics. You will be able to deal with issues of a confidential and sensitive nature appropriately. You will be confident in communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders, prioritise your work, and work with a high level of autonomy.
You will have excellent IT skills as tasks will include modifying and retrieving data on systems and running reports and building systems to support the wider purchasing function. The ability to resolve system issues is essential requiring strong understanding of Microsoft packages.
You will be confident, flexible, able to work well within a busy team and prioritise your workload.
Full induction and training will be given.
