Senior Project Officer (Public Mental Health - High Risk Groups)

Role Responsibility

The Suicide Prevention Team (within KCC’s Public Health team) is looking to appoint a KSH Senior Project Officer (Public Mental Health – High Risk Groups). This is an 18-month fixed term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly respected Suicide Prevention Team which delivers outcomes in two ways (by directly funding services and projects as well as providing system leadership in a range of settings). 

Working in suicide prevention is always emotionally difficult, and at times, extremely distressing. Please do not apply without thinking about the nature of the subject matter and whether you would be able to cope working in that environment full time.

A mix of homeworking and travel to Maidstone, occasional travel within the Kent & Medway geographical area will be required.  

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
