Public Health Officer (Sexual Health)

Role Responsibility

We are looking to appoint a skilled public health officer to join our talented Kent County Council Public Health Directorate’s Sexual Health team. You will provide essential project and budget management support to ensure the effective delivery of a £16.8m portfolio of sexual health services working to improve health outcomes for more than 1.6 million people living and working in Kent.  

You will need to be a suitably qualified individual with strong skills in project, budget and resource management. The role will be to develop, support, monitor and review activity relating to specific projects within the Public Health Sexual Health team and provide support and advice to officers across the team in order to deliver effective project implementation in line with budgets and timescales. 

You will be skilled in budget and programme management software and have high levels of organisation and communication. Ideally you will have experience working in public health and an understanding about working in a large County Council such as ours.    

Kent is a large County with lots of complex public health issues. You will have the ability to prioritise competing demands and objectives, be reliable and proactive, and be able to work with a diverse range of colleagues to deliver projects to time, budget and high standards.
