Senior Network Performance Manager
Role Responsibility
The KCC Transportation Department has recently been restructured and a number of new roles have opened up to work within the Traffic Management Team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to demonstrate their experience in data analysis, traffic and performance management.
The role will play a key part in supporting the council's network management duty, supervising a network performance team to identify and analyse issues on Kent's road network. The role will work closely with other members of the Traffic Management Team, as well as various other stakeholders (e.g. National Highways) to develop solutions or mitigations to maximise the performance of the existing highway network and improve journey time reliability for all highway users, including public transport and Active Travel (walking and cycling).
The role will also require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders such as customers, other Highway teams, public transport operators, trade associations, County, District and Parish Councillors, National Highways, and the Department for Transport.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
