Senior Commissioning Manager
Role Responsibility
Our services and our providers are facing many challenges, with the cost-of-living pressures, workforce pressures and a rising demand and budgetary pressures. The Making a Difference Everyday culture of Adult Social Care gives us huge opportunity to bring new ideas to the fore, shape new responses, change provision and ensure that we deliver the right range of services to meet the changing needs of the people of Kent, through our Commissioning Intentions and Market Management programme.
In Adult Social Care Commissioning we spend over £1 million a day on purchasing services and as Commissioners we need to ensure that this money has the right impact for the people of Kent; the post holder will have a significant impact to ensure we meet the high standards that we set for ourselves.
This role is a KR14, and therefore applicants will need to be able demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex messages to a range of different audiences.
Working as part of a small leadership team with two other KR14 Senior Commissioning Managers and the Interim Head of Strategic Commissioning, you will lead a challenging and exciting year of Commissioning.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
