Public Health and Integrated Commissioning Information Governance Lead

Role Responsibility

Kent County Council is dedicated to delivering high-quality public services and ensuring the well-being of our community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Information Governance Lead to join our Public Health and Integrated Commissioning team. This role is crucial in managing and enhancing our information governance framework to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

As the Information Governance Lead, you will oversee the information governance agenda across Public Health (PH) and Integrated Commissioning (IC). You will coordinate the implementation and review of policies and procedures to ensure services and activity delivered complies with information governance legislation and Kent County Council policies. Your role will involve providing operational support, guidance, and training to officers within PH and IC to build skills, knowledge, and experience in information governance, with a particular focus on developing and managing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Privacy Notices.

This role will involve hybrid working, combining working from the Office (Maidstone) and home.

Part time working will be considered, please make this clear within your application that this is what you are seeking.  

If you are shortlisted for this role, you will be required to complete a scenario test. This will be shared with you on 9 May and must be completed by 5pm on 13 May 2025. Interviews will take place virtually on 14 May 2025.
