Role Responsibility
If you are motivated and passionate about addressing some of the most important global issues we face, Kent County Council is the place for you. As part of a growing team, you will take on a new role, requiring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the climate change challenges which need to be addressed to deliver real and positive change for residents, communities, businesses and the environment across Kent.
You will occupy a leading position supporting the delivery of the County Council’s net-zero targets, whilst influencing and securing environmental benefits through the planning system to proactively respond to the climate and environmental challenges we face. With the scale of growth planned in Kent, you will have a pivotal role in delivering a key priority within the Kent and Medway Energy and Low Emissions Strategy to ensure clean growth and climate change are at the heart of the planning process. You will have the planning and environmental expertise vital to develop and inform policy which will provide the platform to deliver change. With demonstrable skills in effective collaborative working, your positive engagement with local authorities and other key stakeholders will be an integral part of the role.
