Senior Business Officer

Role Responsibility

We have an exciting opportunity in Highways, Transportation & Waste for a Senior Business Officer within the Business Performance Team.

You will be part of a small team that provides a day to day supporting role to three Business Officers who deliver a comprehensive support service to our Heads of Service and help drive a high-quality customer service response for our VIP enquiries including Priority Enquiries (from the Council Leader and Cabinet Member), Freedom of Information requests, customer Complaints, Petitions and enquiries from the Police. The team is managed by our experienced Business Team Leader who has overall responsibility for the support and VIP service.

We are looking for someone who thrives in supporting and developing junior staff and delivering great customer service. You will have solid interpersonal and organisational skills, a flexible approach to your work, sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications and have excellent keyboard skills.

If you can prioritise and organise your own workload, want to grow your line management skills, can work to tight deadlines, are methodical in your approach, and have customer focus at the heart of all you do, then this is the post for you.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
