Senior Administration Officer

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Senior Administration Officer to support the Disabled Children’s Teams in West Kent. This full-time post will be based at Worrall House, West Malling with the expectation that there will be travel to other offices within the West Kent area. You will be providing administrative support to three Social Work Teams and their Team Managers and you will be responsible for supervising the Administration Officers within these Teams.

You will need to be highly organised and be able to prioritise your work, together with a willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the Service and the confidence to deal with competing demands. Administrative skills, diary management, knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential. Training and formal supervision will be provided.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
