Business Support Officer - Thanet and South Kent Coast Business Support Team

Role Responsibility

We are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide a comprehensive level of administrative business support for the Adult Social Care Teams across Thanet, Dover and Shepway. The post holder will direct, supervise and support a team of Administration Officers on a daily basis to provide high-quality comprehensive business support service.

The role of the Business Support Officer is challenging, varied and exciting. The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and have the ability to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks unsupervised. You will need excellent communication skills and take a proactive approach in implementing new processes and systems. You will also have a good understanding of data protection and confidentiality. The successful applicant will support the recruitment, induction, development, performance, and appraisals of the Business Support staff within the team.

You will be computer literate and able to develop, maintain and monitor office systems. This includes inputting, updating, modifying and retrieving data on Mosaic/PowerBi. You will be able to work well within a very busy team, prioritise your work and demonstrate flexibility. Taking minutes for complex meetings is an essential part of your role as is supervising and developing the administration team.
