Public Transport Local Bus Coordinator

As a Public Transport Local Bus Coordinator, you’ll  create positive working relationships with our suppliers and clients. As part of your daily routine, you will, assist with stakeholder communications, managing the impact of road closures, arranging bus stop suspensions, procurement and contract management and managing of team mailboxes coordinating and providing responses to routine correspondence. You will be required to use bespoke IT systems to manage customer service enquiries and records maintaining accurate client, contract and financial records, support various meetings, attending, and participating in off-site meetings and operations.

To succeed, you’ll be organised, passionate about supporting the people of Kent, and have a keen eye for transport. As a real people person with customer service experience, you’ll be confident talking to different people in potentially challenging situations. Plus, you’ll be self-motivated, work well in a busy environment and enjoy the freedom of managing your own workload.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
