Role Responsibility

2x Permanent Full-time positions

The challenge

Social care and health services across Kent face several significant challenges in the years ahead, as the population is living longer and with more complex needs; increasing demand on the health and care sector. We are committed to maintaining and improving high quality services, despite funding challenges faced by all public sector organisations. To help us achieve our ambitions, we have a dedicated Innovation Delivery Team to drive and deliver successful change within the organisation.

The opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity to work within the Innovation Delivery Team’s PMO (Portfolio Management Office) and support on a variety of new and existing projects that will help contribute towards the organisation’s strategic objectives.

The PMO is the 'engine room’ of the Innovation Delivery Team and provides a number of services to the team, including delivering training on our Project Management system; monitoring the Portfolio’s overall health and providing reports to Senior Management; supporting with creating and / or delivering high quality workshops; and benefits realisation, to name a few.

As a Project Support you may also be assigned to specific Projects to support them with monitoring and reporting through the project management system, as well as planning and organising meetings and minutes.

The Person

Strong organisation skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships are essential for the role. We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to problem solving, with a flair for creativity in their work. You could be supporting several projects or working with staff from other teams in the Directorate, so good communication skills are a must. You will act on your own initiative to help support the projects, overcoming obstacles along the way.
