Priority Response Officer - Highways and Transportation Priority Response Team

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Highways and Transportation Priority Response Team, based in the Highway Management Centre, Aylesford Depot.

The Priority Response Team aim to deliver a high standard of customer service by assessing, investigating, and resolving customer enquiries relating to Highway service requests in a timely manner. The role also provides support to our Operations Team as an initial point of contact for emergencies reported via Contact Point and general customer enquiries logged via our Web form on the Kent.gov.uk website. 

The team also support the successful delivery of the Pothole Blitz project, which includes all the administration plus monitoring and reporting on all programmed works. They maintain good communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure permits are raised correctly and in a timely manner.

You should enjoy liaising with customers and colleagues from other parts of Highways and Transportation to ensure that we provide an efficient and outstanding service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and resourceful individual who enjoys a challenge and works well under pressure.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
