Practice Development Officer
The Safeguarding Unit has an exciting opportunity to deliver a Quality Assurance Framework and Practice Framework that trains and develops CYPE staff whilst understanding and influencing KCC’s journey to continue to be Outstanding. We have an opportunity in our Practice Development Team for a Practice Development Officer. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification in Social Care, Health, Youth Work or Teaching and/or extensive experience. You will have a strong safeguarding knowledge and be passionate about theories and improving practice across CYPE in Kent. Although this role will cover many practice areas we are particularly interested in applicants with knowledge and practice experience of working with adolescents.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and model and promote high quality frontline practice.
- Drive the development of effective practice with adolescents and their families in response to extra familial harm.
- Guide frontline managers and practitioners to support the implementation of KCC’s practice framework.
- Delivering training to frontline practitioners to drive outstanding practice and new initiatives.
- Develop accessible Policy and Guidance
- Facilitate and undertake ongoing audits and research of integrated practice.
Interviews will take place on 6th & 9th May; these will take place in Maidstone face to face. The interviews will consist of an interview panel and presentation exercise.
