Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Role Responsibility

Kent Enablement at Home (KEaH) provide domiciliary-based short term enablement services across Kent. We are looking to recruit a Permanent Relief Enablement Supervisor to work in a busy role delivering enablement services to people in their own homes.

The role requires you to manage a caseload of clients requiring domiciliary services (including enablement/assessment provision) to support our clients in establishing SMART Enablement goals and in identifying the correct level of need and the outcomes required, and to enable clients to maintain their independence.

The Enablement Supervisor will provide practice monitoring, supervision and training to a team of Enablement Support Workers in the community and monitor the quality of service provided, as well as ensuring that staff work in a healthy and safe environment. The role will require you to work closely with Occupational Health and Case Management colleagues to ensure assessments are holistic and all opportunities are maximised.

Good verbal and written communication skills are required, as is the ability to adapt to change and a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or the willingness to work towards it.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role will involve travelling to rural areas, often with limited public transport.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
