Pensions Administration Performance and Operations Lead Manager

Role Responsibility

We have a leadership vacancy within our Pensions Service, KR12 Pensions Administration Performance and Operations Lead Manager working for Kent Pension Fund at Kent County Council. The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours a week). This vacancy has arisen due to a reshaping of the services within our team.

The primary office location for this role is Maidstone, Kent and the successful candidate will undertake hybrid working (both home and office working, according to business needs). You will join our large and successful Pensions & Treasury Service.  You will be an important part of our Pensions Administration Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Pensions Administration Manager for Kent Pension Fund and performing deputy duties for them from time-to-time. 

You will be required to be aware of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), but more importantly, will be a manger with broad and in depth experience of line management, able to direct and guide senior colleagues efficiently and effectively. The post holder will be leading a team of around sixty team members responsible for pensions administration, currently spread over five multi-disciplinary delivery teams (i.e. the post holder is currently expected to have five direct senior reports, although this may change in the future). This role involves working at pace, collaboration, coordination, planning and applying strategic vision for our Pension Fund. Full details about the role are attached.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that the post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
