Management Information Officer

Role Responsibility

An exciting development opportunity has arisen with the Management Information & Intelligence team within the Children, Young People and Education (CYPE) Directorate. We are seeking a Management Information Officer to cover maternity leave. The postholder will play a key role in the collection and verification of the governments Free Early Education entitlements data with a lead on 3&4 year-old funding. The post involves processing high volumes of payments, requires the ability to analyse large datasets and present a variety of data. This is a up to 12-month temporary post from April 2023 to March 2024.

Strong technical skills including Access, Excel and Crystal Reporting are required in order to produce data quality reports as well as an understanding of legislative and policy requirements in relation to the statutory early years framework and guidance, management information within an education and young people’s setting, how they apply to the role and impact upon the wider directorate.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required in order to work effectively with customers including within the CYPE directorate, other KCC directorates, Members, Internal and External Boards, its partners and education providers. The postholder must have the ability to work independently, manage complex datasets, and find solutions to complex problems. The postholder needs to be extremely organised and have excellent time management and customer service skills.
