Farming in Protected Landscapes Officer

Role Responsibility

Working week of 3 days with negotiable/flexible hours.

The Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is looking for a Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) Officer.  Created by Defra as part of the Agricultural Transition Plan and managed by the Kent Downs AONB, the fund helps farmers, land managers and others to deliver projects in the farmed landscape under the themes of climate, nature, people and place. 

This part time role is based within the Kent Downs AONB team, based near Ashford with flexibility for home working. 

As the FiPL Officer you will provide advice and guidance to applicants, potential applicants and support a panel created to judge applications. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
