Do you want to lead Facilities Management for KCC?

Kent County Council have an exciting opportunity for a senior management role leading the Facilities Management team which is part of Property Strategy and Commissioning based in Maidstone with responsibility for in excess of 600 buildings within Kent.

KCC is one of the largest counties in the country with a diverse property portfolio; it adopted a TFM model in 2015 and is now at the start of a procurement exercise to replace these contracts with one hard services contract across the whole county along with a number of soft services contracts.

The job holder will manage a budget of circa £16 million per annum for the corporate estates with a wide portfolio of buildings.  Further information giving an indication of the services that the job holder will manage are set out in the background document, which you can request from Sam as detailed below.

Reporting to the Head of Property Operations, the role holder will lead the delivery of Facilities Management services across all of KCCs buildings. The job holder will be responsible for compliance, hard and soft services, security, procurement of FM contracts and ensuring that the Councils buildings are maintained and available to enable the council to deliver its services.

In addition, the job holder will ensure close working relationships are maintained with other groups within the Infrastructure Division and the wider council to deal with strategic, day to day and emergency matters.

As part of the interview process for this role you may be required to complete additional testing. Shortlisted candidate will be invited to complete psychometric assessment as part of the recruitment process.
