External Partnership Manager

Role Responsibility

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in developing and managing partnerships across different public sector organisations to support Kents One Public Estate Programme. This is a new and exciting role that will lead on the delivery of the Kent Estates Partnership (KEP) projects and initiatives. KEP is a collaborative initiative between Kent County Council, District Authorities, Blue Lights and other stakeholders from across Kent.

In your role you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with a range of partners, including estate owners, local authorities, funding bodies, and community groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of projects and activities within the KEP and identifying and developing new opportunities for collaboration, funding, and innovation within the KEP and beyond.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, such as heritage management, environmental studies, or business administration.
  • Significant experience in partnership working, project management, and stakeholder engagement in the property, or related sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts.
  • A proactive, flexible, and creative approach to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Able to work on own initiative, taking responsibility for actions and decisions surrounding areas of accountability, escalating matters where appropriate.
