Drainage Engineer

Role Responsibility

Two exciting vacancies has opened for Drainage Engineers to work within the Drainage Asset Management Team. This is a permanent full-time role based at Ashford Depot with hybrid working arrangements.

The roles are a KR9 grade with a salary range from £30,485 to £34,693.

As a Drainage Engineer you will be providing a front-line service delivering planned drainage repairs, renewals and improvements across the County including all associated financial and administrative tasks to ensure planned work is delivered effectively to improve the asset and highway safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual and it is important that you have excellent people, communication, and customer service skills. A big part of these roles will involve individuals who can prioritise and organise workload, work to tight deadlines, are methodical in your approach, and have customer focus at the heart of all you do.

The nature of the service means that peaks in demand are common and during periods of heavy rain you will be required to work effectively under pressure and as a team player.

You will be expected to work closely with other highway colleagues and within the GET directorate including the Flood and Water Management Team.
