We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Direct Payment Community Support Team.

The role is to manage a caseload, provide ongoing support, advice, guidance and empower people who have chosen a Direct Payment to take control of their care and support needs.

This role requires strong interpersonal and organisational skills, good IT skills and an understanding of systems is essential. You will need the ability to communicate effectively with a range of different people, understanding the needs of vulnerable adults and be committed to the principles of independent living.

You will be required to travel across Kent, supporting people in their own homes, working with them and their representatives, Practitioners, and other professionals to review their expenditure and ensure money is spent on their assessed needs.

The successful applicant will be compassionate, understanding, and respectful to everyone, flexible and with the ability to prioritise.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
